Game Stages
Gunner Stage – The first stage of the game. You control a single turret aboard an airship, and must aim and fire at incoming enemies. You are given orders from a captain, and require the airship’s support to operate your post. You do not have the authority to accept missions for your airship. If you are skilled, your superior can buy you upgrades for your turret, or give you control of a more powerful turret, and eventually promote you to Pilot.
Pilot Stage – The second stage of the game. You pilot a single gyro – a high-speed miniaturized aircraft meant for tactical strikes and hit and run maneuvers. You have full control of the gyro and its weapon systems, however, the gyro is owned by the nation, so if crashed, you will be responsible for replacing it and may be demoted. You are given orders from a captain, and require the airship’s support to operate your post. You do not have the authority to accept missions for your airship. If you are skilled, your superior can buy you upgrades for your gyro, give you control of a more powerful gyro, make you a squad leader (putting three pilots under you as subordinates), and eventually promote you to Captain.
Captain Stage – The third stage of the game. You command a single airship, which could contain cannons, turrets, gyros or artillery. You are responsible for all of your crew working under you – and are able to hire, fire, promote and demote crewmembers. You can also request or purchase new equipment for your airship. During battle, you pilot the airship, attempting to keep the airship within striking distance and also keeping the airship from being destroyed. Airships are large, expensive, and are not destroyed easily – but if the airship you command is destroyed, you will have to report to your superiors. You are given orders from a commander, however, you can accept solitary missions if you have the right equipment. If you are skilled, your superior can buy you upgrades and new equipment, give you command of a more powerful airship, and eventually promote you to Commander.
Commander Stage – The fourth stage of the game. You command a line of airships (1 large, 2 medium and 4 small airships, 7 total) from aboard a large airship. You are responsible for all of the captains of the airships in your line, and giving orders and tactical plans to your subordinates. You can request or purchase new equipment for your airships, and manage the subordinates and airships under your command. If your line takes substantial damage, you will have to report to your superior. You are given orders from a General, however, you can accept solitary missions if you have the right equipment. If you are skilled, your superior can buy you upgrades, new equipment, new airships, and eventually promote you to General.
General Stage – The fifth stage of the game. You command an army of airships (1 flagship and 2 lines of airships). You are in charge of large battles, and are responsible for all of the commanders of the lines of airships in your army, and giving orders and tactical plans to your subordinates. You can request or purchase new equipment for your airships, and manage the subordinates and airships under your command. If your army takes substantial damage, you will have to report to your superior. You are given orders from the nation’s Admiral, however, you can accept solitary missions if you have the right equipment. If you are skilled, your superior can buy you upgrades, new equipment and new airships. When your nation’s Admiral retires, he/she can promote you to Admiral.
Admiral Stage – the final stage of the game. You can reach this stage by being promoted to it, or by performing a successful rebellion / coup d’etat. You alone command the entire nation, both the military and the civilian populations. You are in charge of the flow of the war, and are responsible for the high up officials in the nation, planning battles and creating missions. You can also oversee and command any battle. All officials report to you, giving you the status on all towns, resources, research and units in the nation. You can make changes to the national budget, promoting research, building new units, and providing support for your subordinates. It is up to you to guide the fate of your nation in this stage.
